In Zimbabwe, PWRDF partner TSURO Trust is managing water in a response to climate change. A swale is a channel designed to manage storm water runoff, control erosion and promote infiltration of water into the ground. Mesh gabions are rectangular-like cages made of wire mesh and filled with rocks to reduce runoff and repair gullies, stabilize soil, prevent erosion, retain slopes, and control water flow.
